The demo project was a 2000 Yamaha V Star motorcycle with:

  • Mismatched fenders and tank.
  • Old decals buried under clear.
  • Black plastic fenders that needed adhesion promoter.

Prep work included:

  • Stripping paint transitions and decals.
  • Bare metal → Self-etch primer.
  • Bare plastic → Adhesion promoter + filler primer.
  • Everything finished with multiple coats of Perfect Match Primer.

  4. Application
    • Hold can 4–8 inches from surface.
    • Spray in smooth, even passes.
    • 50–75% overlap each pass.
    • Apply 2–3 coats, waiting 10 minutes between.
  5. Timing
    • Recoat: within 2 hours or after 48.
    • Dries to touch in 30 min.
