I created a video that demonstrated the steps to prepare a car surface for airbrush or custom paint. In the demonstration I used fine line tape, 1 1/2 tape and masking paper. I also mentioned another masking products, but did not elaborate on it.
I was asked a question asking what that masking material was called. To answer the question I created this short video.
As I mentioned in the video, I think the name of this masking material is called transfer masking film. I do know of a brand many custom painters and airbrush artists used, but I’m sure there are many other brands of this product that will also work well. The product that I am familiar with is called Sticky Mickey Masking Film. This film was created by a famous airbrush artist named Mickey Harris.
