Thanks for  subscribing to the auto body boot camp.  Here you will learn a few of the basic to auto body and paint repair.

Let’s get started!  One thing I would like to point out is that we are using some of the newer tools, such as the body filler guns in this training series.  However, we teach many different ways of doing things in the additional training below the videos. So don’t worry, you will not need to purchase any special tools to compete the boot camp.  I guess you could say, this is just show and tell!

Lesson 1

Training Video 1 – In this video, you will how to straighten metal and how to select the right tools for the job.

Lesson 2

Training Video 2 – In this video you will learn about applying and block sanding body filler.

Lesson 3

Training Video 3 – In this video you will learn about applying and block sanding glaze putty.

Lesson 4

Training Video 4 – In this video you will learn how to prep a fender before applying primer. The method in this lesson will prevent applying primer on unsanded paint, which is a problem that I’ve seen happen.

Lesson 5

Training Video 5 – In this video you will learn  a method when masking a car before priming. The most important thing to remember when you mask a car before priming is to keep the primer out of the gaps.

Lesson 6

Training Video 6 – In this video you will learn which primer to select for bare metal.

Lesson 6 Part 2 –  In this video you will learn a few mistakes to avoid when spraying primer surfacer.

Lesson 6 Part 3 – how to block sand a car that has been repaired and sprayed with 2K high build primer surfacer and a few of do’s and don’ts when block sanding.

Lesson 7

Training Video 7 – In this video you will learn how to spray primer sealer and base coat.

Lesson 8

Training Video 8 – In this video you will learn how to apply base coat, Tri-Coat, and clear coat.

Congratulations!  You Made It….You’ve Completed The Auto Body Boot Camp Training.

Now you should have a basic idea of the process of what it takes to repair and paint a car.  Of course, this type of work takes a lot of knowledge and practice, but you know more now and you are one step closer to achieving your training goals.
