2. Why wash it if you are going to sand it? Makes no sense at all.

Your Answer: C. Washing it not that big of a deal, it’s all in the spraying technique that is important.
That is incorrect. It is very important to remove all of the contaminates before starting repairs. The best painter can produce a horrible paint job if not cleaned and prepped properly.
Here is how I anwsered the question: This is a very important step. If you don’t remove all of the waxes, grease, dirt, etc. you are going to smear it around when sanding. This may result in fisheyes, loss of adhesion, and a number of other problems when painting.
