NACE A Part of ASRW Plans To Change Locations

I’ve been hearing the buzz about it and I think it’s a great thing. Las Vegas is a great place to visit, but it does become old year after year. I am excited that NACE plans to move to Orlando, Florida. Hopefully, they don’t stop there. I think it would be great to move every couple of years. That may give more people a better chance to attend from different areas. It will also give people like me that does not travel much a chance to visit new places. I know, it supposed to be all about the training and knowledge that we will receive, but come on, we’re all ordinary people too….there has to be fun involved!
That’s just my opinion, it’s going to be interesting to hear what others think of the change. Also, SEMA has stepped up and getting more involved with the collision repair industry. If you’re only able to attend one of the events each year, like me, we’re going to have to make a decision.
I would really like to hear others thoughts on this. Which one do you prefer and which one do you think will provide that best training package for 2011? Leave us a comment with your thoughts!
Butler Students Attend NACE 2010 in Las Vegas

Two collision repair students, Richard and Rigo, and the collision repair instructor attended the NACE training and expo. in Las Vegas, Nevada this year. NACE is a combination of different collision repair industry training events and a show room floor full exhibitors displaying all of the new and cool tools, parts and equipment. This year NACE included OEM auto makers and different scan tool companies to the expo., which was a first for NACE.
The students commented that the training was awesome and they discovered that Las Vegas is expensive, but good place to visit.

More Exciting News At Butler
While at NACE I also learned that Butler is back on track of becoming waterborne this year. Steve Johnson, PPG Rep, called and said the paint has been ordered and should be here in a few weeks. We’re excited about that and we will keep you posted on the progress.

I had to make a decision between SEMA and NACE this year. They are both providing collision repair training, but after looking at what both events have to offer, I believe that NACE offers the better training package for the collision repair industry. Therefore, NACE it is!

Mike Anderson – I have had the opportunity to meet Mike and listen to several of his presentations at a few events. I highly recommend Mike and I think he is a great speaker. You will definitely leave with some useful advice. I will not be attending Mike’s class at NACE, as I have already been to the classes that he is offering. Jody DeVere – Jody is a longtime online social friend and I had the opportunity to meet her at NACE last year.
