I-CAR Schools and Colleges – New Webpage Listing Members
I-CAR has a new webpage that makes it easier to see what schools are a member of their industry training alliance. What that means is that the collision repair program uses I-CAR curriculum, the instructor has attended an I-CAR Instructor Qualification Workshop (IQW), and has passed at least one of the instructor test for the course being taught.
First on the list it shows secondary (high school) programs that are a member. Then about half way down the list it shows post secondary (college or tech school) programs that are a member.
I get a lot of questions of schools that offer collision repair technology. This will help me identify these member programs in addition to the NATEF accredited programs.
I was glad to see several in California, as I have been asked for programs in the western states and there is not many NATEF accredited post secondary programs there. I am still surprised not to see many NATEF or I-CAR programs in Arizona, New Mexico, or Nevada. There are a few, but not a big selection of NATEF and/or I-CAR programs in those states.
If you know of a good collision repair technology programs in the western states let us know about them. This will help us pass it along when asked.
To see the new I-CAR webpage with their school members visit the link below. If you’re looking for a school in your area, let us know. We will do research for your area to help you determine what schools are members of I-CAR and/or NATEF accredited.
