Have you ever had to remove a body side molding to perform a repair and reuse the molding? Without this molding prep system, this can be extremely time consuming. I remember when I used to rub sores on my thumbs and everything else trying to get the tape off and get it clean so I could apply double sided tape. If you remember those days, then I know you appreciate the things that we have to help us out, such as this molding prep system. I wish there were things like this and the heat inductor when I was a technician. If you still do not have either of these than I suggest getting them, as they are huge time savers and will make your life much easier. With the heat inductor, you can heat the molding area up and the molding will peel off easy with all of the tape on the molding, not the door. Then dip the molding in the molding prep for a few days and then simply scrape the molding with a razor blade. Wash the molding and your ready to apply more double sided tape and install it back onto the repaired panel.
