In this video you will learn how to remove the rusted panels. Before you start cutting be certain to make a plan, as you do not want to cut more off than the new part will cover. It is a good idea to have the new part before starting repairs so you can see how the panel is designed and to determine section areas. Once you have a basic idea of where to cut, start cutting and removing all rusted metal. Remember that rust may travel further on the back side than the front side. Once the rested sections are cut out, start cleaning the braces and other hidden areas where the new parts will be welded on. If you have a small sandblaster, this may work good to assure all of the rust is removed from these parts.

8. Plan your cut areas. Have your new parts to determine where to section and cut. Make sure all rust is removed, but don’t cut more than the new panel will cover.
9. Once rusted metal is removed, clean all of the adjoining parts. Clean or blast if you have a small sandblaster.
