ABRN HOW2 – Use The 3M Denibbing System
We had the chance to try the new 3M Denibbing system in class. We had first year students that have never buffed anything and we had second year students that have used other methods last year. You will hear from both a first year and second year student to get their opinion on the new system.

This was also my first time to try the denibber system as well. I just wish they had some of these cool tools when I was working in the industry. This system makes sanding out dirt quick and does not make a mess, as with traditional buffing methods. You can buff one spot and wipe the panel clean and you’re done.
This system works best if you have several spots that need to have dirt buffed. If you have a lot of dirt and the entire panel needs to be sanded and buffed, you will be better using the traditional method. Also if you are need to level orange peel, the traditional method would work best as well.

A Career In Collision Repair – Welcoming Students

In this video, Dale Franks with LCC discusses what training is involved and what makes the perfect candidate for this career. After watching the video, I believe this may apply to many collision repair programs and provide a good idea of what this industry has to offer.
I would like to welcome all of the collision repair students starting or returning to school from their summer break. Now it is time to get serious and do your best. The harder you work in school, the easier it will be for you at your first job. I want to challenge you to start your career training off with the right mindset. This is to accept any challenges your instructor sets in front of you. If you feel like you do more than others, don’t get bent out of shape or feel overworked. Think of how much experience you will get while training, which means less mistakes you will make out in the industry. You (the student) will be the one to reap the benefits in the end. So keep this in mind when you feel like kicking back and coasting by……you will only be cheating yourself!
Work hard and good luck with your career training.
