It is becoming more common that female students are interested in a collision repair career.  Not only are they interested, but they are doing extremely well at it.  I have taught several female students over the past few years that would give any of the male student a challenge.  In fact, I believe there are a few facts that gives the female student a head start in this career.

1. Color Matching – Females have much better color vision than males.  Many males have color deficiencies, while it’s odd for a female to be deficient in that area.
2. Attention To The Details – If you ever performed this work, then you know it can be very tedious.  In my experience, I’ve noticed that female students have more patience when it come to the final details.
3. Ready To Learn – I’ve  noticed that if a female is willing to take a male dominated class, then they are very serious and passionate about it.  Therefore, they are there to learn and excel in the program.  I’ve also noticed that they males tend to pick-it up a notch and try harder too.
