Rear Iron Cross Bumper Install on 2007 Nissan Titan

July 11, 2017 by admin

In this video, we are showing you how to remove the rear OEM bumper on a 2007 Nissan Titan and installing a new Iron Cross bumper. These bumpers are made in the USA and fit like they are supposed to, which is not the case with all aftermarket parts. This was a quick and easy install but made a huge difference in the appearance of the truck.

Auxbeam Light Bar Installation – Nissan Titan Project

May 23, 2017 by admin

The Nissan Titan project is getting a roof mount light bar in this video.  In a previous video I installed a bumper mount light bar.  Then I got an Iron Cross front bumper and installed the light bar to the new bumper.  Next, I have a rear Iron Cross bumper to install….so the project is slowly evolving and taking quite a different look.

I have added both versions of the video below.  The first video is the longer version where I demonstrate the steps I took and the second video is the shorter video with only the steps.

GPS Navigation System on the Nissan Titan Project

May 1, 2017 by admin

Navigation systems have come a long way in the past few years. I remember I got one of the first generation systems…I think it was Garmin.  They were cool at the time, but I ended up on some dead end dirt roads following the directions.  But, I thought it was cool and it “usually” got me where I wanted to go.

I must admit that today’s GPS systems are much more accurate and normally get you where you want to go. It’s kinda cool to see the first generation of items and see how they evolved into what they are today…..remember the first computers?  It would take a room full of equipment to equal a small smart phone we can carry in our pocket.

The Titan Get a GPS Navigation System

EasySMX contacted me about their GPS navigation system and wanted to know if I would be interested in trying their GPS system…I said heck yeah, I’ll give it a try and make a video on it.  So I installed it to my pick-up and tried it out.  If you would like to learn more then watch the quick video.

Don’t Get Stranded Like This

December 20, 2016 by admin Leave a Comment

I think we have all been stranded somewhere with car problems.  One of the most common problems is a dead battery.  And usually it is at the most inconvenient time.  Late at night or like in the video, it will happen on a cold and windy day.  Luckily I was at home, but no one else was there with a car to jump me and I had no other way to jump my pick-up other than this jump box.  Watch the video below to learn more.

I don’t endorse this jump box…if it didn’t work I would have videoed that too.  In fact, I had my doubts that it would work.  It states the jump box is engines up to 5.0 L.  My pick-up is a 5.6 L and it was very cold that day.  It hesitated at first, but it worked!  If I was going to buy one, then I would probably buy one designed for a 5.6 L since that is the engine I have, but if you have a 5.o L or less, then this would probably be a good tool to have in your truck or car and it’s small and very easy to store behind the seat or the trunk of your car.

It had a few other features, which I mentioned in the video.  If you are interested in one you can CLICK HERE for more info.

I have more videos in this Nissan Titan video series and more coming soon.  To see all videos in the series CLICK HERE

Headlight Restoration – Using 2K Clear Coat

October 18, 2016 by admin Leave a Comment

We are working on the Nissan Titan project and we are going to restore the headlights. Actually only one headlight was bad, but we restored both of them so they would both look the same.

In other videos, I have used 3M headlight restoration kit, toothpaste, and WD40. These methods worked, but eventually faded out again. The 3M kit lasted the longest and the WD40 the shortest. In this video we are going to use 2K clear coat, which will last for years is done correctly. If you are wanting the durability and chemical resistance properties, I believe a 2K clear coat needs to be used. I will provide some recourses below the video.

Steps and Resources Below

How To Remove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6YEwdDsUc0

1. Remove headlights.
2. Wash with soap and water.
3. Mask edges.
4. Sand lens using 500 grit.
5. Sand lens using 800 grit.
6. Wash again with soap and water.
7. Clean lens using water plastic cleaner. (optional) http://amzn.to/2dOR9h6
8.  Tack off. http://amzn.to/2dsefL2
9. Apply adhesion promoter. http://amzn.to/2do66eb
10. Apply clear coat…automotive 2k clear coat or 2k spray can.  http://amzn.to/2dGnCKJ
11. Allow to dry and reinstall.
