Installing a Roof Mount LED Light Bar on a GMC Pick-up

March 9, 2017 by admin

I remember that you was one of the cool kids if you had KC lights mounted to the roll bar of your pick-up.  Okay, I’m still kinda stuck in the 80’s because I still like that look along with having gun racks with guns in the rear glass, AC/DC playing at every party, cruising main, no cell phones, no selfies, no internet, mullets were cool and Michael Jackson looked normal.  However, times have changed and so have lights.

Instead of individual spot lights mounted in the rear of the cab on the roll bar we now have LED light bars that mount to the front of the cab roof.  Regardless of which look you prefer, today’s LED light bars turn nighttime into daytime.  They way outperform the older lights and take less battery power to do it.  Hands down, the new light bars are better.

With that said, my son Jordan just got a 2004 GMC Sierra pick-up and decided he wanted to install a roof mount light bar.  So we contacted our friends at AuxBeam and they hooked us up with a 50 inch straight LED light bar and the brackets to fit his pick-up.

The light bar comes with the wiring harness, but the brackets to fit your specific make and model will need to be purchased separately.  In the video below, we are going to show you all the steps we took to install the light bar and you will see what it looks like on a 2004 GMC Sierra pick-up.

Here are the things you will need for a 2004 GMC Sierra pick-up:

New Collision Blast Plus Premium Membership

January 2, 2017 by admin Leave a Comment

First of all I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.  Mine was good and I hope yours was too.

I wanted to let you know about something new I’m doing with my website CollisionBlast.com.  I’ve created a Plus Premium Membership.  There is still hours of free training, but the membership site give you access the the entire website including exclusive content only available to members.

[s2Member-PayPal-Button level=”1″ ccaps=”” desc=”Collision Blast Plus Premium Member / description and pricing details here.” ps=”paypal” lc=”” cc=”USD” dg=”0″ ns=”1″ custom=”www.collisionblast.com” ta=”0″ tp=”0″ tt=”D” ra=”25.00″ rp=”1″ rt=”Y” rr=”1″ rrt=”” rra=”1″ image=”default” output=”button” /]

I used a membership site to help get the website up and running, then made the site available to everyone.  It has came to a point where I need a little help to cover the costs of maintaining the website.  The website is requiring more bandwidth, better servers, security, and everything that goes with it.

I have attempted to use ads and affiliate links on the website, but that has never done well and does not cover the costs involved.  If you visit and use my website, then I would like to ask for a $25 yearly membership fee.

If you don’t use my website, but would like to support this channel, then you can click the button in the upper right of this video to learn more.  Any donations of any size will be greatly appreciated.

I hope you don’t think I’m trying to get rich off you, I just don’t want to pay out of pocket to keep the website up and running.

Thanks for visiting my website and watching my videos.  I hope you have a great 2017 and I’ll see you in the next video.

Note: If you are a collision repair instructor or student, then please let me know so I can waive the fee for you.

Out of The Booth and All Back Together

August 23, 2016 by admin Leave a Comment

We’ve finished clear coating the Eastwood Mustang project and ready to roll it out of the booth and put it all back together.  There is still a lot to do, but this is when you start seeing the finished product.  There is not anything better than driving your car for the first time after it has been painted.  Especially when you change colors….it’s like you’re driving a different car for the first time.

In this video we are going to put all the parts we removed back onto the car and clean it up so it can be driven home.  This is when your time spent bagging, tagging, and keeping the parts organized is going to pay off.  If everything is bagged and tagged, the installation process should go smooth.  But if you have to look for parts and not sure what goes where….well it can become a nightmare.  Luckily we did have everything organized the it went smooth.  To see the steps we took and the  finished product check out the video.
