She was just not sure how to prep the paint that is already on the car. That is an excellent question, as just air brushing straight over the clearcoat would peel off shortly after applied to the panel. Here are the steps to part one. Preparing the paint before starting the airbrush work. Wash surface with dish soap and water – Wipe the surface with wax and grease remover – Wet sand the painted surface with 1000 grit sandpaper Scuff the panel concentrating on the hard-to-get areas and edges.
