In this video, Infinity Insurance made some negative statements about Gunder’s Auto Center. An employee left a message on a voice mail to a Gunder’s customer claiming the the auto body shop was known for charging a great deal for the amount of damages and tries to add things that are not relevant to the repairs. They are also known for holding the car hostage until all the payment is made.
This auto body shop is a well established business. Gunder’s has been in business for 43 years building a good reputation. You can imagine that Mr. Grunder was not happy with the comments, as I would have been irritated as well. Mr. Gunder contacted his attorney and they were able to put a stop to this type of conduct from the insurance company.
Mr. Gunder received a call from the insurance company with an apology and assurance this would not happen again.
A Few Additional Thoughts
How many other industries out there take a beating like the collision repair industry? It’s sad that the folks we have to work with on a daily basis(insurance) treat us in such a manner. I remember a day when the insurance adjusters and body shop owners were able to get along and be friends. Perhaps they’re out there, we just don’t hear about those stories.
Let’s hear it! Do you have stories to share? Are there any other industries that have to fight to get paid for the things they do? Do you get along well with the insurance companies you work with? Good or bad, let’s hear it….leave us a comment.
