I have never really experimented or even heard of ceramic coatings until this last year. One of my students who detailed for a dealership while attending the collision repair program started talking about it and how well it worked. She said it was easy to apply and provided excellent results on the paint surface.
Then I started seeing it on Facebook and decided to give it a try, which is what the video covers. It does apply easy and wipes off easy, and I hear it lasts longer than wax; however, I don’t know for sure, as this was my first time to use it.
The ceramic coating may be an excellent product for aged paint, but I would not recommend using it on a fresh paint surface. Most paint companies recommend waiting 90 days before applying wax or anything else that is going to seal the paint. After 90 days, wax or ceramic coating is a great way to protect your paint from bird droppings and other contamination that can damage the paint.
