In this video, you will see a few of the things the students at Butler are learning how to do. It is hard to find time to take photos and video clips of every job, but this will give you an idea of what we do.
Students are doing everything from spot jobs to complete paint jobs. We recently replaced a bedside on a Chevy pick-up. This is the process of removing the bed from the frame, cutting the welded side panel off, and installing a new side panel using adhesives and welding.
We are also learning how to perform smaller repairs and blending paint. Blending paint is the process of fading the new color into the existing color. When perfected, this process will produce an invisible repair.
Body repair, plastic repair, welding, priming, blocking, masking, painting and clear coat is a few of the things we are learning on a daily basis in the program.
