I was asked on the Car Addict Garage what pressure to set a spray gun when spraying base coat and clear coat. Well, the short answer is 10 PSI at the air cap. However, that is not the inlet pressure from the gauge, and most guns do not have a gauge on the air cap.
The correct inlet pressure is going to depend on the spray gun you’re using. In the video, the question was referring to; we were using a Tekna ProLite. So I am going with that gun to talk about setting the pressure.
