Cleaning threads before installing them back into the part will save you headaches down the line. One snapped head from applying too much force can be a lot of work and something you want to avoid.
I saw the Thread wizard and bought one and found it to be the easiest and fastest way to clean threads. I am not saying this is the only or best method, but it’s the easiest method I’ve tried.
