When it comes to masking there are more than one way to do it.  On the Mustang project we used paper.  However, if used correctly plastic can work well too.  However, there are a few cautions to watch out for when using plastic against the paint edge, which we will talk about in this video.

  1. I used plastic once to cover an engine bay. The hood was off and I was doing an over-all……did just like you said. Spraying away when the paint started flying off the plastic onto a fender, into fresh black paint!! SUCKS!! 🙂
    I’ve ALWAYS used paper since, for everything.
