What Got You Interested in Collision Repair?

After having an insurance adjuster write an auto estimate on a car of ours, I thought that would be an interesting career. I did some research and discovered I need collision repair training.

Why Did You Choose Butler Community College?

I wanted the community college environment and to attend games and other events that a community college has to offer. After looking at a few colleges I decided Butler would be the best choice for me.

What Do You Think About the Training You Received at Butler?

I heard a lot of other people tell me that the auto body program as good at Butler CC. I feel that I have learned more than just the basics. I feel Butler prepares the students with the expectations that the industry has for new technicians.

What Are Your Plans?

Attend Pitt State University and Major in Auto Technology with an Emphasis in Collision Repair and Insurance Management. After graduating I plan to work for an insurance company as an auto insurance adjuster.

What Got You Interested in Collision Repair?

I already had some mechanical experience and wanted to learn more about collision repair. I was not sure if would like auto body or not.

Why Did You Choose Butler Community College?

After looking at other colleges Butler was more affordable and Butler was more helpful when visiting them.

What Do You Think About The Training You Received at Butler?

I like Butler because it is a friendly environment and I like the hands on training I received.

I am thinking about taking the welding program that Butler offers or finding a full time job.

What Got You Interested in Collision Repair?

I worked for a dealership and I have always been obsessed with making cars looking better than they were before.

Why Did You Choose Butler Community College?

I looked at the program and like the I-CAR curriculum and because the program was NATEF Accredited.

What Do You Think About The Training You Received at Butler?

I feel that I have retained a lot of the information and have been able to apply it at work. I have also had the opportunity to teach some other people skills that I have learned while attending the collision repair program at Butler.

What Are Your Plans?

I hope to get more experience and later become an insurance appraiser or maybe open my own shop and flip cars someday.

I plan to move where my dad lives in Ohio because they have a lot of restoration job opening there.

What Got You Interested in Collision Repair?

I always enjoyed working on cars. I didn’t know much about collision repair until I started looking at colleges and researching online. I was not sure if I would like auto body or not, but after starting the program I realized that this is something I really enjoy and want to make a career out of it.

Why Did You Choose Butler Community College?

I liked the hands-on that Butler had to offer and it was close to home. Butler also has many activities to get involved with. I also like the smaller class size that Butler’s Collision Repair Program had to offer.

What Do You Think About The Training You Received at Butler?

I like doing the live work and being able to work on my own project. I feel we have learned about some of the new and future technology that vehicles have. I am a hands-on type of person and this has been a great fit for me.

What Are Your Plans?

I plan to continue to work at Elite Auto Body and Become a Full Time Lead Painter. I may want to work at a shop that also does more restoration later down the road.
