In this Eastwood video, we’re going to show you how to repair a dent on a Ford Mustang. First, the students block sanded the paint surface using blocks and 320 grit sandpaper. The purpose of block sanding the paint surface is to level and locate dents. Any low area will remain glossy, which makes the dent easy to identify. If the low is minor enough, the paint will actually serve as filler and the low area may block out during the block sanding process.
Once we located many of the low areas and dents, we are going to repair the damage. In this video, we’re going to demonstrate how to repair a dent using a Eastwood hammers and a stud welder gun. Without having access to the backside of the dent, a hammer and dolly method is not possible. That is when a tool such as the stud welder gun comes in handy.
