We are working on the car about 1 hour per day between classes. We have 2 first year students and 2 second year students. We will occasionally have other students stopping by to offer a hand from time to time. Oh, and we also have a first year student who helps on the car and helps with videoing. You will probably get to know Sam well throughout the episodes. So take a minute to watch the trailer video below to learn about the project and the students who will be working on it. -

Episode 14 – Masking Car For Paint
In this video we have the Mustang in the booth and are going to get it masked off and ready for paint. -
Episode 15 - Sealer and Base Coat
In this video we are going to spray the Mustang with primer sealer and black base coat. We used Eastwood epoxy as a sealer. The epoxy mixes 1 part primer to 1 part catalyst. When spraying as a sealer as we did in this video, you can reduce up to 20% with urethane reducer to help the epoxy level and lay down better. We applied one coat of epoxy. The Eastwood base coat we used mixes 4 parts paint to 1 part activator. We applied two coats of base. Next, we’re going to paint some stripes, then we will be ready for clear coat. -
Episode 16 - Paint Stripes and Letters
Last video we sprayed the Eastwood Mustang project solid black. This video we are going to paint some red pinstripes and stripes on the car before clear coating. If you are planning on painting stripes remember to trace the decals like we did in the video before you take them off the car. Even if you are taping out your own stripes, this will give you a reference and make it much easier. We took the traced stencil we made to a graphics shop and they cut us some stencils to use. This is fairly inexpensive and by far the easiest way to paint decals. Without the cut out stencils, we would have had to tape and cut each stripe and letter. This can be done, but it is very time consuming. We used fine line pullout striping tape for the pinstripe. This is another method that makes it fairly easy to paint stripes. Lay the tape where you want the pinstripe, then pull out the strips where you want painted. There are eight different pull out strips in this tape, so you could have a number of combinations….two thin stripes, wide and thin stripes, 3 stripes, etc. Learn more about tape at http://amzn.to/29FMtKz Last video we sprayed the Eastwood Mustang project solid black. This video we are going to paint some red pinstripes and stripes on the car before clear coating. -
Episode 17 - Spraying Clear Coat
We\'re ready to spray clear coat on car. We already sprayed primer sealer, base coat, pinstripes and stripes, now we are ready to spray this Mustang project with 3 coats of clear coat. In this video, we are going to take you through the steps we took on the project. -
Episode 18 - Assemble
The Mustang is painted and out of the paint booth. Now for the assembly process. I have a few tips to share with you then you can see the finished project. The mustang is now black with red pinstripes and red stripes and Mustang lettering. It looks absolutely awesome. -
Start To Finish in 3 Minutes
We\'re going to paint a car from start to finish in 3 minutes. It actually took us weeks, but I have sped the entire process to 3 minutes. The Mustang was green and we painted inside and out black. Looks like a simple process in this video, but the job took a lot of time and effort. As you will see in the video, it looks really good.
