We’re off to another great year in the collision repair program at Butler. 1st year showed up eager to get started and second year students returned to continue their training.
We didn’t waste any time with the 1st year students. We’ve already hit the books and in the shop putting what we’ve learn to work in the shop. 1st year student are learning the basics to metal repair and applying body filler. We will also cover vehicle design and refinishing this semester.
Here a a few photos of the 1st year students hard at it.
2nd Year Students
I do not have any photos of the second year students at this time, but we are in the process of welding in their class. We are learning how to weld plug welds, butt welds, and lap welds. The student must pass each weld in the flat, veridical, and overhead with a visual and constructive test.
I am excited to help each student explore and discover the talents they have. We’ll keep you posted on our progress.
