Hybrid car appear to be selling, but are they worth the the extra cost? I remember reading an article about the extra cost of a hybrid car would cost more than the driver saves for the average driver. Therefore, the driver may not see the return on saved fuel mileage. Especially with all of the gasoline vehicles getting better mileage these days. Now I just read on ABRN that Mitchell Industry trends report says that hybrid vehicles are more expensive to repair. If that is true, I am assuming that insurance may be higher for hybrid cars. I do not know that, but it make sense to me.
I am not anti-hybrid, I just thought I would pass this information along since a vehicle is most peoples 2nd largest investment. Maybe this will give you enough information to a least do a little research or ask questions before purchasing your next vehicle. To read the full report about cost repairs visit ABRN
Any hybrid owner out there? What are your thoughts?
